The team utilized an online workspace called Miro for our collaborative brainstorming sessions on various mascot designs. The whole process began with extensive research into significant Korean items that align with the museum's theme. We carefully categorized these items, ensuring a diverse selection ranging from people and animals to objects.
Once our initial categorization was complete, we delved into exploring stylistic elements such as colors, patterns, and accessories to enhance the uniqueness of our mascots.
Our team decided to brainstorm keywords for the museum to branch out ideas for the character.
Class Activity: Brainstorming for the character concept
The research was not limited to the colonized history. We extended our keywords to everything about Korean history and culture. After we were done with the brainstorming, we sorted out the keywords that were developable into characters and keywords that were useful for adding characteristics to our character.
